    Looks/Sounds like a fucking Pokemon.

Why couldn't we have had some mroe patriotic artists do something a little more... Proudly Canadian?

    Because that's not multicultural.

Reminds me of Japanese animation. First thing I thought of was the "Hello Kitty" stuff. Not very Canadian looking.

I'm sorry, these mascots don't say anything remotely Canadian to me.
I'd have one of them having First Nation links but I'm sorry to point out that Canada is not made up of soley aboriginal peoples. Nor was this nation made a nation by aboriginals.
They may have been here first but it wasn't Canada until the dreaded white guys came.

    PC crap.

They're Canadian mythical/real animals, but in typical Hongcouver design.

It does look and feel pretty Japanese, but the creatures are 100% Canadian.

That could very well be true, I can't see anything that remotely connects to Vancouver, BC or the Olympics in these furry little bast.....mascots.
