I'm sorry, these mascots don't say anything remotely Canadian to me. I'd have one of them having First Nation links but I'm sorry to point out that Canada is not made up of soley aboriginal peoples. Nor was this nation made a nation by aboriginals. They may have been here first but it wasn't Canada until the dreaded white guys came.

They're Canadian mythical/real animals, but in typical Hongcouver design.
It does look and feel pretty Japanese, but the creatures are 100% Canadian.
