Only 48 seconds after the opening bell, the comeback was over. Ronda Rousey, the UFC's once-great hope and the sport's all-dominating athlete, saw her chance to redeem her November 2015 loss to Holly Holm.

Going in it sounded like she was going to retire after this fight, so why stand in there and risk getting her face messed up when you have $3 big ones to spend.

Part of the blame is said to rest on the shoulders of her trainer. She changed the sport and especially for women, 2016 kicked Ronda Rousey's ass. 8O

But if she was talking retirement before the fight, how hard was she training. I think she took Dana to the bank.

Rousey looked like she didn't know what she was doing.

Ikr. I think the women's division have moved past Rousey. When she started this, she was the best no question. But with people like Nunez and Cyborg, the skill level has gone up when Rousey appears to have stagnated.

As a boxer she makes a good judo fighter.

Rousey's skill level is a Judo fighter, in past fights it worked for her but the last two fighters kept their distance enough to clean her clock.

That Nunes is a fucking monster, like Mr. T in Rocky III. Crazy-eyed dyke could probably beat the shit out of a lot of the guys too.

Ha! Rousey's career ended up like Balboa's in Rocky III. She became soft more concerned with making movies, the talk show rounds after her loss to Homes crying how she wanted to kill herself, she lost that look Rock the eye of the tiger.

Careers don't last long in what's essentially a legalized version of an old-school prisoner death-match league the guards and wardens would organize to relieve the boredom. Every single one of them I've seen in MMA looks like the sort of person that should be doing 10 to 15 years in the pen for nearly beating a 7/11 clerk to death.

She'd never last up here. It'd be, 'Eh, whadda ya tink yer doin' Givin muh honey duh eye?' That would be the last thing she'd hear before being taken out by a local Grade 7 girl.

WWE would be a bad move for her. She has a burgeoning movie career she'll likely work on. She's set to be in a Tina Fey comedy and in the remake of Roadhouse.

Just have Rousey beat up Big Show at WM34 and leave it at that. Hopefully there's a lot of bad action movies waiting to be made that she'd fit in good with and she decides not to have anything to do with Vince's merry little circus circuit. McMahon might see some value in having her join but historically celeb/athlete crossovers into WWE really only have single-moment value. The current WWE's women's division have worked their wonderful and perfect asses off for the last several year and are now as good a part of the show as the men's matches are. It'd be fucking awful if Vince chose to toss all that effort away just to have some division-killer like Rousey come in a fuck everything up by having her beat up all the others.
