A person cannot nominate themselves, so if you were thinking the infamously self-confident Trump put himself forward, guess again.

Why not nominate Trump for a Peace Prize? Obama got one for all the things he never did as President.

Apparently the rules on nominating are so loose practically any group can form to put a name forward for nomination. That's how, if I'm recalling it correctly, some Likudnik group in Israel got Binyamin Netanyahu's name on a ballot once. They also once gave this prize to Yasser Arafat. That alone makes it pretty much meaningless, or at least about as relevant as being Time Magazine's Person of the Year. Pointless except to those who believe in such trifles.

You have to love how Donald basically called Canadians a bunch of dishonest crooks today. "What kind of people do we have running for office?" asked Mr. Trump today in Milford. NH. He went on to say: "No, its honestly really, really dishonest. And I think I know why. You know why? Because he was born in Canada!"

So there you have it. You guys are all a bunch of lying cheating crooks. The Donald said so, so it must be true.

That's the worst problem with this election. If it's Trump, Cruz, or Clinton, no matter which one of them wins all it comes down to is that a genuinely horrible person will become POTUS, and that's not good for anyone. Worse even than Dubya or Reagan because despite how bad their policies were those two men, down deep, weren't bad people.

I hate this election cycle. It's absolutely loathsome as it's happening and the end product it gives to the world is going to be genuinely awful. :|

So will we be on his "to be nuked" list then?

I still am unable to take this guy seriously at all. It's all just too entertaining to me. POTUS candidate and now the Nobel Peace Prize? What's next, a knighthood?

Given that Alfred Nobel made his fortune in dynamite I think it'd be more than fitting that they gave the award to the most explosive personality in American politics who, if elected will undoubted use the equivalent of hundreds of thousand of tons of Alfred's product pretty quickly.
