Hopefully nobody is killed in this explosion considering the last tragedy.

This is getting to be a little too much. How close to Hinton is this one?

if I'm not mistaken LPG isn't shipped by pipeline and is always shipped by truck or train.

I like how Mike Hudema and Greenpeace immediately blamed it on Harper.

Well didn't you know Harper invented LPG and we never shipped it across the country before January of 06?

Hudema is probably one of those sad sack lefties who spends the whole day posting on the CBC forums blaming everything on Harper.

Build pipelines because our creaky rail system ain't up to hauling anything more hazardous than iron ore concentrate.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. During the 12 years of Liberal rule, those oil sands were the greatest thing for Canada since sliced bread. Oh, the economic opportunities they offered our country.
Yet the moment the govt changed to the Conservatives, those same "hallowed" oil sands became a disgrace and embarrassment to Canada.

Meanwhile, idiots like Hudema are incapable of seeing or thinking anything beyond their own tiny ideology.

That's the hypocrisy of all this and should JT become the next Prime Minister once again they will be sands of gold.

I live in the County of Parkland. This scene is 30km from my place. I can't see the smoke as much as on Saturday, but the Gainford Hotel is one of my favourite places to have breakfast on my way to a good day of hunting. 8O

There was a major natural gas leak going on near Esterhazy, SK(between a couple potash mines) this morning. People in the area were cautioned not to smoke or have any open flames in the area.
