The driver of a Spanish train that derailed, killing 79 people, ignored three warnings to reduce speed in the two minutes before the train hurtled off the tracks on a treacherous curve, crash investigators say.

This goes way beyond showing off. This moron was at the controls of a whole train, responsible for the lives of everyone on it, and he conducts himself the way he did?!?!? Doesn't matter if he was 'showing off' or whatever, as it will be little consolation to all the families of the deceased who have not only lost loved ones, but had their own lives shattered.
The driver is a waste of skin. If the courts don't get him, hopefully karma will. To play with human life as it was a big game like that is unimaginable.

Yeah, probably the last words out of his mouth before the ""Holy shit" when everything went totally bad were....."Hey man watch this"....... You forgot 'Hold my beer'

I wouldn't hold anyone's Spanish beer, that stuff is truly awful.

Well, he got his wish to be famous on You Tube, didn't he?
Yet, the guy is home, right? Not in jail.
So far as I know, yes. But the Spanish judge came down on him really hard and made him give up his passport.
(Which you know is a near-meaningless gesture in Europe with all of its open borders)

Exactly.
It infuriates me.
He should be in jail awaiting trial.
You know, like Ariel Castro, who got credited 87 days off his life +1000 years.

What about 'Very Slow Trains'...ones that make it to their destinations intact, with all the passengers alive?
Were is the sport in that?
Europe is pretty messed, if I remember, everyone's favorite Cruise Ship Captain Schettino also got to go home before his trial.
