More than 600 newcomers per day have arrived in Canada since 2006, and many of them have settled in neighbourhoods like Richmond, B.C. The once-quiet farming community on the south end of Vancouver is now home to North America?s second-largest Asian commu

Ethnic enclaves = failed immigration policy

We have successfully imported millions of people who dont want to join in with the rest of us.

Not really news so much as an opinion piece..

My favourite part of these stupid articles, is how they completely ignore the fact that this country has always been made up of immigrants.

My favourite part is when you chime in without reading the article - knee jerking like a marionette.

The article does nothing of the sort.

That's asking way too much of him.

I kind of like being able to go to different parts of my hometown and feel like I've gone to different parts of the world. I see no issue with people of the same ethnic background living together so long as they can all speak english (or french) and don't start trying to shoot each other or impose cultural changes on the rest of us.

Sayin that, some of these enclaves are a bit ridiculous. The government should be allowed to impose restrictions on where you are allowed to go to find work and residence in country. IE send more immigrants to Prince Rupert, Prince George, Kamloops, Kelowna, etc. instead of Vancouver.

I read the whole thing, including the comments. The extremists make it worthwhile.. Very entertaining. A bit scary though, you never seem to run into these weirdo's in real life. Only on the internet.

No one has any factual basis to claim eliminating white children worldwide with demographic policy is not genocide under international law.

Always afraid someone is out to get you.. It's kind of sad actually.

Most Canadians are immigrants, but I definitely wouldn't say all Canadians are immigrants. There is a native population after all.

They were also immigrants from Western culture and shared mostly the same values.

The 'natives' in Canada came from Asia. They are immigrants too.

Wait - I thought humans came from Africa, so except for residents of the Olduvai Gorge we're all immigrants.

The problem is that we now have multiculturalism effectively promoting the continuation of these enclaves and translators for all the immigrants who don't speak our languages, even tho we're assured immigrants need to speak them to get into the country. Didn't used to have that - immigrants learned English/French or were basically fucked. This is one area where I give the Harperites props for at least trying to reversed course a bit.
