Isn't this why you have to give a credit card number to the front desk when you check in?

Send the repair bill to whomever rented the room.

Police said that hundreds of people were potentially involved in the ransacking. About 150 students from Notre Dame College School in Welland, Ont., rented rooms and dozens of other students showed up.

Harry Liu, the motel owner's son, said that a group of Grade 12 students had rented out 35 rooms at the motel for a place to go after a semiformal dance. He said that he had an agreement with the students and didn't ask for their credit cards.

You are a business man. I assume the agreement states names of at least 1 person?
Sue them (or their parents) for damages, and let them figure it out amongst themselves.

If you were so stupid to rent out 35 rooms to grade 12 students (17, 18 year olds??) without having them give you any personal information, then I do not have patience for you.

That said, those kids should be ashamed of themselves, and I sure hope all of them will have to pay for damages and then some. Morons.

Nice to know that trust is still considered a sin.

Trust in business is stupid. Trusting 18 year olds is stupid. Stupidity... I don't have patience. Sorry.

Being in the risk assessment business, I can't believe the motel owner would take on that risk without a credit card.

Big surprise his hotel was trashed.

    Welland, 'nuff said.
