A Second World War veteran trying to erect a monument dedicated to animals that fought and died with Canadian soldiers has been denied federal funding because the memorial will be built on Crown land.

    Yes,heaven forbid that the government gives up a chunk of land to commemorte those that fought for them.

    They must have needed that $40K for some deserving Tamil "refugees" or something else equally important. :roll:
