    Only if we knew.

Again brings it back to carry guns around for no good reason at all.

Carry a gun so you can shoot him before he shoots you or a loved one

Exactly a vicious circle that can be only broken if you take guns out of the equasion.

It didn't work and surprisingly... this was in Texas.

1 question though, was this planned (that is... he packed the gun for that reason), or does he always carry and this was a spur of the moment thing?

I'm against concealed carry laws. But they wouldn't have stopped this guy, nor any other gun restriction unless it totally eliminated guns from society, which would never happen.

But of course suggesting other people carry guns to stop this doesn't work either. One, he would have the drop on you, two, a bunch of people pulling out their guns and blasting away would probably add to the mayhem. And this guy obviously didn't worry about getting shot as a deterrent.

So now you're going to be the madman in the news because you blew somebody away because he looked hinky to you? I can see the news article now: Skating party shot up by people who wanted to get the draw on each other because they thought the other person "looked funny."

But ...but..that lawyer for the two guys from Texas that got busted at the border explained that Texans only have guns to protect themselves and their property.
    How can this be??

 Yeah, because we all want somebody packing heat and opening up after a couple of fun runs at the local shooting range under their belt for experience.

If you're starting to think that you need to carry a gun to protect yourself and those you love, may I suggest you move somewhere else. 8O

THAT is actually much fun to do!

I am a pussy tho, and will leave the guns there, safely locked up

Shooting at cans in the woods with a rifle is fun too :D

My dad was a sharp shooter in the army. I must have his genes :D

Agreed. I like shooting as well. That doesn't always translate to someone how can draw, aim, and fire in a calm manner that is going to hit the target instead of everyone around it.

I've shot a bird with a pellet gun and felt like shit for it. Never shot at a living thing with a real gun, don't know if I could pull the trigger in a hunting situation, but I would like to know how to hunt. (not enough to ever bother to try it tho). But shooting a person, that would be a whole different thing. Guess if they're trying to shoot you, it would be easier.

I've never shot any living thing, not even tried to shoot AT any living thing. I just can't. I'm such a pussy
I don't like hunting... Poor Bambi eyes... Hell, I don't even fish... :P
