The Canucks announced Tuesday that the rights to the defenceman have been traded to the New York Islanders in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick in 2012.

    Pretty much knew someone would be lost, but still sad to hear this. Hopefully the team stays intact enough to be capable of making another run.

    That's too bad but I wouldn't be suprised to see a few more changes before we see our 2011/12 team.

    There's more to being a good defenceman than getting a few power play points. Erhoff was terrible at turning the puck over at the point, was very soft in his own end, wouldn't take a hit to make a play and was about as physical as Olivia Newton John. Paying him more than Hamhuis or Bieksa would have been a terrible decision. Glad he's gone.
