Since it was a survey my guess would be that most people answered on the PM's notoriety rather than ability, so I don't put much stock in the rankings.

Actually, it was a survey of 117 historians, political scientists, economists and other academics in relevant fields. It's definitely not based on "notoriety".
Anybody want to help me bomb Macleans?

I more or less agree with this list except that I'd put Sir John in first place and switch Chretien with St. Laurent.
Sir John A. MacDonald should be first, agreed. But Harper should be above both Mulroney and Diefenbaker for sure.
Why is Kim Campbell on that list??? She was barely a blip in the top job, and didn't really do much.

MacDonald
WLM King
Borden
St Laurent
Pearson
Chretien
Harper
Martin
Trudeau
Diefenbaker
The rest in the same order as McLeans list

You would put a corrupt guy before another corrupt guy ?

Hint: She was prime minister.

My guess if that Sir John A is probably second because of the Pacific scandal.
If it was a poll of WORST PM's then it's Trudeau for No. 1
There's no way that he could knock Harper and Mulroney out of #1 and #2 for worst.

Spoken like a true liberal.
Trudeau was a clown.
