That's sad. The guy survives tours of Afghanistan, and dies from a slip and fall in a park. :(

The cause of death will not be released.
What makes you think he slipped and fell? :?

Sounds like suicide to me. No criminal cause, and they're not releasing cause of death.

I know the trails he was on. Some of them lead only a foot or two from the river. It would have been easy to slip and fall. This time of year, it's so cold you are likely to go hypothermic quickly if you hit the river.

Since they aren't releasing the cause of death, I have to assume that accidental death is the likely cause, considering this guy's life seemed to be going well.

Your guess is as good as Dr. Calebs. Unless/until a suicide note is found, I'm inclined to go for the slip and fall too...

I'm under the impression they usually give the cause of death in an accident. But who knows - we never will, that's for sure, but the relatives will know.

    And that's all that counts...

They usually wait until after an investigation, which could take some time. Unless there is a note etc, it will go as accidental. Unless you have some specific insight andy? Another yahoo news legal special?

Seems they changed the story since I read it the first time.

Army affairs officer Cpl. Fraser Logan said Curnow's death appears to be an "accidental drowning."
