It could get harder to indulge in a double cheeseburger and fries without feeling guilty.

"a tub of popcorn can contain well north of a thousand calories--movie theaters are exempt"..."whose primary business is not to sell food"

Movie theatres primary business is food; I don't care what these idiots say. Their primary attraction may be the movies that people go to see, but for an individual theatre they don't make much money on the movies themselves, most of it goes back to the studios. Their primary source of revenue comes from all the garbage they sell at the concession stands.

Accurate, probably 90% of their profit is concession.

I love this idea, when I go out to eat I won't have to do as much guesswork and math now.

Edit: Saw it's the U.S., hopefully Canada follows suit.
