B.C. Health Minister Colin Hansen says the system worked just the way it's supposed to when emergency patients at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster ended up in a Tim Horton's next door to the ER.
"martin14" said Wonder how much Timmies gets paid for this.
On the other hand, how do they get the place cleaned up before and after ? Food and ER don't exactly go together.
Nothing, the Timmies has been designated an overflow area for extreme ER usage, as for cleaning it up, no problem, it's just an overflow waiting room for the most part, anyone seriously injured or bleeding would be treated in the ER itself, not in Timmies.
If it were in Starbucks, it would be filled up with yuppies with sprained ankles from "yoga" and pretentious hipsters with broken nails. We're Canadian, we should have our emergency triage centres in Tim Hortons. Because I'm pretty sure my last bout of jet-lag was cured with a Vanilla Dip.

Getting emergency medical care in a Tim Hortons: That's Canada, eh.
