I don't really see the issue however I think they made the right call. If EA tried to glorify the taliban I'd have a issue with that. However a debate over the naming of the enemy force in MP is a little weird.

However this game is not like WW2 games where players can play as the Nazi's. WW2 is a old conflict, Afghanistan is still a on-goin conflict and obviously it's going to get people worked up.

I agree they made the right call but not on an ethical bases but on an economical one. The bad press alone would have cost them millions. Just to hot a subject for them to come out as good guys just makeing a game.

Yet I think if it had gone to court or something they, EA, would have won. Creative rights, freadom of speach ect...

At worse they were guilty of poor decsion making and bad taste in even adding that option in the first place.

I think they should have gone ahead with it, I dont think it is in bad taste one bit.

Oh crap , what are the taliban to do now. They were looking forward to atleast one game where they could kick some ass instead of always getting it in the ass. Oh well back to the regular stonings and beheadings !
