Canadian athletes are finally settling into their new temporary homes at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India -- an event that has had a tumultuous start.

Athletes have been told if they're going to be walking around, doing any sightseeing or going beyond the athletes' village or the competition venues they shouldn't wear the maple leaf, they shouldn't identify themselves as Canadian," she said.

I think being any colour but Indian brown will set off the "tourist" bells.

And why should our atheletes now have to hide the fact they are Canadian ?

Because they'll probably be inundated with asylum requests from several hundred thousand Indians.
