The United States government apologized for displaying the Philippine flag upside down at an event in New York attended by President Barack Obama on Friday, calling it an �honest mistake.�

    It is pretty bad that a mistake like that could be made at an official state function like that. Just kind of shows a lack of respect for others, and lack of attention to detail.

    Doubt it.



    One can certainly wonder at the quality of the soldiers, or their attitude of they aren't even capable of putting a flag upright at a World Series baseball game.

    par for the course when their military is seen as a sanctuary for those who had trouble making it through high school.
