Ken Miller almost became public enemy No. 1 in Saskatchewan. The Roughriders head coach made an ill-advised decision in regulation that forced overtime. Fortunately for Miller, his team bailed him out to escape the wrath of the Mosaic Stadium faithful.

    I've gotta ask.....what the hell was Miller thinking???? An easy chip shot for Congi, and he decides to try and punt it through the end zone for a single point....Miller could have been drawn and quatered if the team didn't come through and pulled his bacon out of the fire in OT.

    I didn'thave to read the story I watched the game

    Congi punted the ball and blew it! why didn't Eddie Johnson (the punter) kick it out of the park? 8O

    I guess we weren't watching the same game.....

    Instead of attempting a short field goal, Miller decided to bring out Eddie Johnson in the hope that his punter would drill the ball out of the end zone and give the Riders a game-winning rouge.

    The strategy backfired.

    Johnson's kick came up short, allowing Calgary time to run the ball out of the end zone.

    You weren't the only one confused at the time, I honestly can't imagine what the hell was going through Miller's head at the time. Congi must be royally pissed at Miller's lack of faith in his ability and his decision to bring in Johnson for the punt..... :twisted:
