A Fayette County man is in jail awaiting a hearing on rape and assault charges while his alleged victim remained hospitalized with serious injuries from the beating, state police said.

    As I said on another thread rhere is an old fashed torture methid that was used in the witch trials called "Pressing". The would be appropriated for this individual.

    I think "simple" assault just means he didn't use a weapon. also, probably differentiates the beating from the sexual assault.

    Nothing for his supportive mother who thinks nothing odd about bringing her son a jerry can of gas at a rape scene?

    Presuming he was low on gas to start with.

    Not trying to make any less of this. But also the real lesson here should be also that keep your wits about and its just basic common sense not to accept rides from strangers. Even kids nowadays know that.

    These people are right out of a horror movie.
    If that girl had come out when his mom and whoever was with her had showed up, they probably all would have killed her together.

    There is absolutely nothing in the story to indicate that the parents knew what he had just done. If the cops thought they knew, they would have charged them with aiding and abetting.
