CALGARY - Calgarians who spent the long weekend planting flowers and vegetables may have to consider diving for cover tonight as in blanket covers, to protect new plants against near-freezing conditions.

Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells. Jingle all the way. Oh, what fun it is to ride. In a one horse open sleigh. Jingle bells, jingle bells. Jingle all the way ...

    LOL better there than here...

There's a chance it'll happen in Edmonton tomorrow too.

It's not like it's going to snow 30 cm or something, no big deal.

California is ending the month with the coldest May since 1888. It is snowing right now up on the mountain passes about 100 miles from here. Frickin' amazing.

I probably would of had my flowers planted, if not for the 3 nights of frost at the start of this week. So maybe next week.

Native Albertans know not to get into a rush at this time of year.

Damn. I miss the snow. It's currently hot here. Apparently this year the heat is going to last till mid September. People find me strange, but i prefer the cold. I prefer it to rain or snow rather than be hot and sunny.

I'm the same way. I can wear shorts for a lot of the year (even taking out the trash at -20) and I hardly ever zip up my jacket in the winter, but the heat (anything over +25) just kills me. What's worse is when it's hot and humid, then it saps my energy, kills my appetite, and makes me want to just sit in the basement and watch TV.

Cold weather you can always put on another layer. Hot, humid weather like we've had the last few days you can only take off so much before the neighbours get more than they bargained on!
