A University of Alberta research team has successfully shown that a generic drug can alter the metabolism of cells and may be a potential treatment for a brain cancer called glioblastoma.

    Is it just me, or is Canada really trying to find a cure for cancer? So many cancer related staries and breakthroughs seems to come from this country of ours.

    But still no definitave cure, though it's good that steps are being made.

    Still, most of the breakthroughs seem to come from Canada and there's always fundraisers for all kind of cancers. I like how this country seems to be actively seeking to rid itself and the world of at least one form of cancer. That's admirable. Sure, we're only taking steps, but they're steps in the right direction.

    Right you are, and yes Canada is at the forefront when it comes to Cancer research, alot seems to come out of the UoC and UoA as well, don't know why that is? My son shaved his head for Cancer research and raised $500.

    Cancer is such an affliction that many groups are working on it.
