Canadians remember Battle of the Atlantic

Let me say thank you to the brave sailors of the Royal Canadian Navy and the Canadian Merchant Marine.The Battle of the Atlantic started on time unlike the phoney war in Europe.From day one,the Atlantic was an extremly dangerous place to be.Britain,Western Europe,and indeed a majority of the world owes a debt of gratitude to Canada for thier role in the Battle of the Atlantic. I remember watching a film about Canadian involvement in the Battle several years ago.The majority of the Canadian Fleet was comprised of Corvairs that had phoney wooden guns attached.This and courage took on the third reich.I know that you Canadians seem to have a problem with tooting your own horn.This is one area where you should be piling on.Britain could not have survived the war without the supplies from North America.Canada played a MAJOR role in keeping those conveys coming.As an American I will say thank you for fighting the good fight.I say thank you to all the Canadian sailors who risked thier lives fighting for the free world.Job well done.

No shit. I'd rather face Festung Europa than slug it out with u-boats and shit for years in the Atlantic.
