"Accept reality!" For years women who have committed the same crime as "males," have received less sentences and are even allowed to keep their babies while in prison. As for this article, why is Kim Pate even comparing males to females in statistics? Is she saying that females "should now" be sentenced the same as males?

Prisoners are placed under federal jurisdiction when they receive sentences of two years or more.

She says more and more women, particularly cash-strapped single mothers, try to make ends meet through criminal activities, like prostituting themselves and transporting drugs across the border.

Soliciting is 6 months tops, Bawdy House convictions are 2 years at most (unlikely), In fact the only way mention of Prostitution is possibly relevant in this context is for procurement of a person under 18 for the purposes of.

They wanted equality.................well now they've got it.

It's about time that crime was punished (or should I say, criminals were rehabilitated), based on the offense committed and not the sex of the criminal. It's quite obvious that this idea is foreign to Ms Pate and her bleeding heart friends.
