Just a bad temper, or is your child mentally ill?

Severe outbursts grossly out of proportion to the situation, in the form of verbal rages or physical aggression, several times a week -- to parents, these would seem the most common elements of childhood temper tantrums.

Ahhhh.. but this gives mommy and daddy a free pass in the accountability department. It also provides lazy parents with an excuse.

Which in turn produces more lazy parents/lazy citizens.

    Fucking outstanding.

Oh well, when we cheat multiple times with multiple partners on our spouses, we call it a sex addiction. Whats the difference?

That's not sex addiction. That's screwing around. Proper sex addiction starts when you loose stuff that matters to feed it and you don't care.

Thats why I said, we CALL it sex addiction :)
And then we go to rehab and hope our spouses don't leave us, because we are showing our good will. Ahhhhh, too bad, they do anyway :P

So when does the Ritalin version of TDD come out? You know the the only reason someone is making this crap up is to sell some sort of miracle drug

    Yess.......

Let's give little Johnny and little Lilly pills to sedate them.

No more jumping on the couch, playing, laughing, or any other childish shenangins.

Childhoods are for mentally ill kids. Our sane kids lie on the couch nicely drugged up.

Yet another dodge for parents who can't bother being parents, I'm truthfully sick of all the "research" going on these days simply so people can blame their poor parenting skills on some sort of disorder.
Heres a sugestion, expand on the planned parenting programs and maybe just maybe set something up to teach these deadbeats how to at least take responsability for their actions and their kids.

Too funny. A bad temper is a survival tool in today's schools. Given the FACT of about 50-60% of kids being bullied in any given week I have no problem with little Johnny hauling off and beating the crap out of some punk who tries to steal his lunch money. Lord knows the teachers and administrators not only won't do anythign about bullying, a fair number of them tacitly encourage it.
