Children playing road hockey games have been benched in Enfield, a small community just east of Halifax, because neighbours complained to police.

It is a road, not a play park. Get off the streets, hockey is not every Canadians way of life. Maybe we should let play anything they want on the roads. Give me a break, fine them and move on.

The street is the last one in a sub-division and dead ends not far from the last house. The only folks that should be using it regularly are the residents of the dozen or so houses on it........ who could the kids possibly be affecting?

Well I hope these "tweens" find something more constructive to do with their free time, like sitting on their ass playing video games, drugs or vandalism. For fucks sake

Maybe you should lighten up a little.

Wait, you must have been one of the kids who was never picked to play road hockey with the others because you were a useless git.

I was gonna say he was probably "Albert" from the old Canadian Tire commercials, but Albert ends up in the show at the end!

I'd love to see kids play street hockey, soccer, hide and seek or whatever the hell they can play on the streets. I would love to stop and wait till they scored their goal or got their goals out of the way, as long as they dont do it on a busy street.

Busy streets are a different story of course.

Our street in Sydney was in a part of twon called Hardwood Hill. Emphasis on the hill.......... We even had special rules for street hockey. No slap shots downhill. If we had a real net instead of two rocks, it had to be down hill. etc....

Exactly! Hell, I've always been the one to encourage/initiate it.
