OTTAWA -- The man accused of beating a female impersonator outside an Ottawa gay bar has been acquitted of assault.

What a travesty of justice. Gays should be able to smash a woman's teeth out with a beer bottle without living in fear that some homophobic thug is going to beat them for it. If this had been a straight man bashing the womans's teeth out, the guy who assaulted him for it would have received a severe jail sentence. This just shows that we not fully accepting of the gay community. Next it will turn out that lesbians who heckle and throw water at a comic can be insulted by that comic without consequence.

He/she felt "victimized" twice?? Yeah, I guess if I smashed a beer bottle into someone's face and didn't get charged for it, I'd feel like a victim too

You don't have all the facts on this, trust me.. it is however, like you say ... a travesty of justice..
