OTTAWA - Should one of Canada's most notorious serial killers be granted a new trial because of an alleged error by the judge?

    Publicity stunt.
    This guy knows he'll never get out of jail and is just trying to keep himself from being bored. If they allow this it is an extraordinary waste of public funds.

    If Canada had a death penalty I'd be okay with this 'cause you might just get him this time around. :wink:

    From what I understand, when you get the death penalty in the US, the appeals are automatic and payed by the state.

    So, I guess that the same thing for him: he has nothing so the appeal fees are paid by the provincial/federal government.
