Two Winnipeg police officers are being credited with saving the life of a newborn after a woman who didn't know she was pregnant suddenly gave birth in her bathroom.

    I don't know which is better, knowing you're pregnant and being able to prepare for it or being suprised all of a sudden like this. These stories always make me shake my head, that some women can be pregnant and not know is just strange.

    Police were at the residence in the Flora Avenue and Andrews Street area to arrest the woman on outstanding warrants.

    CTV News has learned the officers credited with saving her baby's life first came to the house to talk to Heather about outstanding warrants for theft-related charges dating back a few years. Police say the warrants will be processed some time in the future.
