Halifax police officer charged with extortion

A Halifax Regional Police officer is facing criminal charges of extortion and breach of trust. Const. Jeffrey Buchanan, 29, was arrested Saturday at 2:30 a.m. while on duty and charged early Sunday, Const. Brian Palmeter said.
