Murder charges against alleged B.C. gangster Jamie Bacon could be thrown out of court following a revelation that jail authorities recorded telephone conversations between Bacon and his lawyer for seven months.

As long as they can prove that none of the evidence for their case came from these recordings, I don't see how it can affect them. While this is a huge and stupid mistake, it all happened after the crimes & the charges.
