This is just mind boggling, how does it go from $350M 5 years ago when Ralph announced this, up to $20B now. And when the EUB plants spies in the farmer protest group, it really begins to smell.

Are you sure that it's not just Calgarians and the Calgary media complaining again?

No us rubes will join Calgary on this one, the only thing Edmonton residents are really complaining about is that they want these lines underground where they pass the City. You know the cancer thing?

You know that as soon as you hear 'any pol' saying "That's a bunch of baloney" etc, that they are lying through their teeth!

"Behind closed door" politics? That doesn't happen anymore does it? And in the democratic mecca of Alberta to boot? Hu, looks like old Eddie wants to finish his political career and make sure everyone knows he's a crook. Good on ya Eddie, but we all know politicians are crooks buddy, no real need to prove it with that size of price tag. Oh shit, I know why.....Campbell in BC is going to leave that provinces tax payers with probably a 20B dollar debt for the Olympics and Eddie is saying, "No other Premier is going to screw their own province worse than ME!" You know, that whole "Texas of the North" thing....

Oh, and Regina, I know better than that...

It's always smelled fishy. The 'new' transmission lines don't go to Peace River, where the 'new' nuclear plant is proposed. Must be them special Tesla wireless power transmission plants.

I'll bet someone 'fluffed' the project up to line more pockets. Bil 50 just ensures that taxpayers get the honour of paying for the boondoggle legally and without oversight.

I like Steady Eddie, but I am thinking he and his band of merry men are all fired come next election.
