Canada preparing a military role in Afghanistan beyond 2011

Canada is sending two surveillance aircraft to Afghanistan in a move some defence analysts see as laying the groundwork for a military mission in Kandahar beyond the announced 2011 pullout date.

Not much of a surprise really. I expected a larger commitment than this to be honest (like a couple hundred army/police training personnel).
