West coast shipbuilders are vying to win British Columbia an equitable share of $40 billion promised by Ottawa to upgrade Canada�s marine fleet.

    well the West Coast builders could always try to put in competetive bids, that might help them.
    It always makes me crazy to see federal money as some God given right...

    try working.

    BC won the bid for the submarine refits and those eastern bitches still won't shut up about it. There are a few companies of the west coast who actually do subs and I don't think the east has anything.. except an air of entitlement.

    BC did well to get the contract. By the way, the East Coast has been maintaining subs since the 70's, Riden.
