Defence Minister Peter MacKay is dismissing reports that Canada paid off insurgents in Afghanistan as likely "Taliban propaganda."

I don't see how they can accuse Canadians of paying the Taliban when we are steadily engaged with them. The Italians are suspect since they walked about like they had a truce with the Taliban.
