This man was 1) in a position of authority over this girl, 2) expected to adhere to professionl conduct at his workplace, 3) has a daughter older than this girl, 4)by law he's a pedophile (and should be castrated).
Listen man, both of my Great-Grandmothers were married when they were 16 (which is leagal consenting age in Canada right now), I am quite aware of what USED to happen as far as marriage goes. So obviously ASL, he's not just preying on his 14 year old student, but also helping to prey on (or being a reason for) other young kids all over the world.

Heres my solution, since these asshats usually don't do any real time then I'v thought of a rehabilitation program.

You take a convicted pedophile into a locked room with a projector, you make sure he's naked and have a yard stick with you. Bombard him with pictures off of his computer of all the kiddie porn he had and everytime he gets an erection you slam the yard stick onto his penis, continue this process until he can view said images with no sexual arousal and voila.

Some pedophiles do take chemical castration, hopefully he makes that choice.

The christian religion already tried this with teenagers and nasty chastity belts that had metal spikes around your penis that would puncture you if you got an erection.

Besides the fact that most erections teens have are not voluntary and thus harmed many teens beyond their own control.... clearly it never worked at stopping them from having sex later on in life and reporducing.

I doubt this tactic would work on a pedophile, even with the various images.

The chemical castration doesn't remove their mental attraction and desire toward minors, it just makes it so they can't get it up. Pedophiles who have went under this have on occasion, repeated their offenses one way or another. (Of course, not all)

Isnt that why why go through therapy then, for their mental attraction. Physical pain will not remove their mental attraction either, Im just not for torture as punishment.

True enough. But I'd like to take a swing at any one of these people for the youth that are powerless against them.

Admittedly, he's not as bad as someone who abducts their vitems or others out there but, dialogue or not he took advantage of this girl, a 14 year old is not capable of love at the same level as a grown adult (how many of us were truly in love at 14 only to realize later in life that popularity or image had alot to do with our choice?)
The secret video is bad enough in itself but also the images and videos found on his computer. He wasn't truly in love with this girl himself (and he's deluding himself if he says he was). He was in a position to take advantage of her and did,my guess is she approached him first, at which point he was expected to set boundaries to their relationship and keep it on a friendship level.

Indeed... when you're in a position of trust like he was, and you use your influence to influence influential minors in your care and fill their heads with romatic BS, then someone needs to be tossed into an ally with a few people and some bats.
