Hawaii was American territory at that time. He was born in the United States under Federal Law.

Every few months some fat head argues that as Hawaii wasn't a state at that point he was not American born. These folks should also join the flat earth society.

I'm not a big fan of Obama but if this is worst that these morons can come up that is sad.

Why do I have a feeling we will be hearing this over and over for the next 3yrs and 6mos? Under the citizenship laws at the time regarding the residency requirements for the mother whether he was born in the US or its territories or not, I feel he should be disqualified.

However, he is already sitting behind the desk. The time for these questions has long passed and should have been presented upon the first mention of him running for office. I highly doubt that unless the man openly admits that he is embracing his Kenyan or Indonesian citizenship, he will not be removed from office.

I have no love for the man or his party in general. I believe he is leading us to ruin and is way worse than Bush. He is just more subtle and cunning in his want for sole and total control of the government. He not only is putting a muzzle on Hilary, he made her hire his loyalists onto her staff. CNN: Is Secretary Clinton being back-benched?

Oh cares, all the anti-Bush zealots elected this smooth-talking charlatan into the white house... it was an American Idol moment, just punch 666 on you cell phone...

Now they have him, hope he sinks the USA into years of debt and inflation.

Take a look at this graph. Then and go read a book or ten about what Communism/Socialism is suppoed to look like. Nothing Obama has done or proposed has gotten the US even remotely close to anything resemblimg Socialism.

Stuff like this should automatically get dumped into the Foiler thread because that's the only place it belongs. The only people who keep pushing this stuff are the same sort of genuine racists, crypto-KKK wannabes, conspiracy assholes, and self-declared neo-fascists who want to see Obama assassinated. If they can't get their desired assassination literally then they're going to do their evil black-hearted damndest to get it done figuratively.

It's not just those extremists, though. It's Average-Joe: the guy who's not really a racist, but tacitly is. He tries not be racist, he knows it's wrong, but he's real glad he's white. There's a lot of not-terribly-whacko whackos that want to hang the man...at least in effigy.

I doubt it. I've seen nothing from any of the Birthers to indicate to me that they're nothing but the same sort of people who would have been happy to pose for souvenir photographs next to the mutilated corpse of a black man at a 1920's Deep South lynching. That the Republican party is now the Party of Dixie, with their base concentrated in the old Confederate states because their support's evaporated practically everywhere else, and has become policy-central for this type of mouth-frothing insanity is no coincidence either. Tea-baggers, Palinites, the Limbaugh/Coulter/Hannity audiences, and now the Birthers are just the new manifestation of the ancient American race hatred that's always been headquarted out of the South.

    Also guitar-players.

Actually, I don't know if this girl hates negroes, or if she just disapproves of Obama's policies, but she's a mean picker. Hang around for the solo.

    Wow.

I haven't really been following this as much as I should but it's a simple matter. He has one or he does not. If he shows them, the topic is dead.

Until some one proves me wrong with some level-headed criticism of Obama's policies that doesn't fly off the handle into the usual frothing craziness then I'll stand with what I said. Until then anything to do with the Birthers is no different than the rest of the endlessly recycled puke that comes from out of Alex Jones and the rest of the flying saucer circuit.

Interesting also that you two guys, who rightly would have attacked any sort of Bush Derangement Syndrome from the lefties during the last administration, are the first to OK what the Birthers are doing today. Not flaming anyone or anything, but you're defining partisanship to a perfect-T, and there's no way in hell IMO that I'll ever concede it as a good or moral thing to do. As far as I'm concerned it's vicious and wrong no matter who's doing it. If you consider yourself better than your enemy then don't do the same lousy things that he does.
