After plans to re-enact the Battle of the Plains of Abraham in Quebec City were cancelled when hard-line separatists threatened to disrupt it, a radio host called on residents to fight another kind of battle.

Cancelling this because some block heads part poopers would have a fit is stupid.

In the states we have civil war renactions all over the place and everybody has a good time and the touist dollaars flow well. There was just as much emotion with a American Civil War than the Battle of the Plains of Abraham.

THe point of this stuff is to commemorate history, get an appreciation of what the people went through and above all have a little fun.

Are there any reainactments of the war of 1812?
I would suggest hold it somewhere else. If there isn't enough space cross the border and pretend it's the same battle.

They are just about 10-15 people who threatened to make fools. Some hippies. They should have did the reenactement. It's in our history.

I agree it would be fun,,, but there still could be some reaction by the fucking separatists... they seem to come out of the wood work when there is an anniversary or event that they can get some press with...

If they show up, drench them.

They won't notice since they're all wet anyway.

That is one kick ass radio station in Quebec City. Marto is friggin' cool. He's only making fun of the situation and in a sarcastic way, of the idiots separatists that complained about the original event.

Actually, for the Montreal people on this site, should give it a listen. The Quebec talk radio usually has some kind words on the MTL talk radio.

Quebec City QC., was the big looser on this issue, Fort Niagara NY., was a winner big time when the battle of the Plains of Abraham was reenacted there.

Yeah, but doing it on the Flats of Irving just didn't have the same impact...
