VICTORIA, B.C. - Canada Day celebrations in Victoria, B.C., appear destined to create a bang that lasts beyond the singing of O Canada and the often rowdy fireworks show that lights up the downtown skies.

There are too many idiots in Victoria who can't seem to have fun on Canada Day without ruining it for the rest of us by acting like idiots, getting drunk in public and destroying property. Victoria has this annoying habit of catering to the idiots who either don't want change or who cater to the dregs of society. If the B.C. civil liberties association really wants to go ahead with this BS lawsuit then I say cancel the festivities or make them financially responsible when the idiots who they're trying to protect do the usual and start breaking windows and vandalizing property.
Thank God I'm leaving Victoria in two weeks for good. A nice climate doesn't compensate having to live with all the changeaphobes, losers and municipal politicians who have balls the size of garbanzo beans.
