As the world stops to mark the 65th anniversary of the D-Day landings, Canadian veteran Stanley Fields still isn't sure how he survived the terrifying invasion.

    I wish the CBC would do programs on real Canadian's and events like this than the crap they do push on us.

    He's a veteran, and for the most part, Canadians could care less about him really. The CBC thinks we would much rather watch some useless crap about Mosques and Prairies, specials on Climate Change or who is smarter than a 5th grader. It is pretty depressing.

    ... or push the casualties in Afghanistan into our face so they can push their unelected political agenda.
    The fact that Canadian kids know more about ancient Egypt than their own grandparents in WW2 is sad.
