The Montreal Canadiens will hold a news conference this afternoon at 2pm et when the club will introduce Jacques Martin as their new head coach.

    They could hire Jesus of Nazareth as their head coach and it still wouldn't make them any better.

    Until Bob Gainey is willing to go out and sign a top flight free agent,(other than that floater Kovalev), and some decent role players, they're going to continue to be mired in mediocrity.

    Agree on the trapping part, but I've seen games that are 1-0 and 2-1 that are very exciting. I don't know if the players will buy into the trap if he trys it anyways.

    With the amount of goals the Canadiens blew away this year, perhaps a more defensive game is in hand in order to win or is the amount of sleep you don't have per game more important? Then again, if the Canadiens want to pass the first round, this chum isn't the way to go as his record, if not pretty good during the season, is crap in the playoffs.
