Our porous, northern border with Canada is finally getting the attention it needs, eight years after the attacks of 9/11 raised fears that terrorists would creep south across 4,000 miles of all-but-undefended frontier.

One of the biggest problems on the northen border is that of illegal moose crossing over to the US. This causes the American moose population to loose out on wages, since Canadian moose work for less, under the table, and tax free.

I hope more border guards, troops, drones and extra federal funding can stop the problem of illegal moose from crossing the border going south, and improve Canadian-American border relations.

Small bands of squirrels have been paid by moose to help them cross the treacherous journey. They are the real culprits as well as the Canadian government for not creating the right living conditions where moose can get jobs and earn a honest living.
