to be honest, not sure why this is news. We have a right as a country to say yes or no.

The issue here is this, once he gets his citizenship, the country can not say no you can not bring her at a later date. Well, 'theoretically' they could but then it would be the big bad feds stopping a father from being with his daughter. I can see the headlines already.

damed if you do, damed if you don't.

This guy also has a doctor son that is interested in coming to Canada. I guess we have to weigh how much burden his daughter might be against how much two doctors would bring to our country.

sounds to me like the government did and said no thanks.

Although we would have 2 more skilled doctors come in a country that is in need of Doctors, we still need to follow guidelines.
