Gov. Gen. flight tab hits $800,000

Vacationing on the countries dime? That doesn't sound right.

Why not I've done it? So has every soldier that has gone to Afghanistan...

The Government of Canada paid for nearly all of my vacation in Italy and England when I was half way through my tour in Afghanistan.

I went on a 13 day tour of Italy, hung out in rome for a week then saw family in England for roughly another week.

They admit they force her to take the company jet though, which bumps up the price tag. Hasn't the GG spending to much has always been an issue?

The GGs all have spent our money like water.. not to be sexist but it seems from Mme Jeanne Sauv� to Adrienne Clarkson to the present GG the tab has been high.. seems the females cost more... I think its time to do away with this office,, its redundant.
and while we are at it... give the boot to the royals as well...

I wouldnt go that far, as silly as some may think it is, I am still a royalist.

Or maybe we could just stop picking our GG's from the pool off laid off spoiled CBC workers and instead opt for someone who's a bit more use to being accountable, like someone who has actually had to hold a job down other than one that is paid for by the Government.
