Gasoline prices at city pumps have dropped below $1 per litre for the first time since the start of the year, encouraging some motorists to get behind the wheel of vehicles left in disuse over the summer.

Mmm, I wonder why Ottawa was not listed in the list at the bottom. Maybe not to piss people off?

Gas is 89.9 cents in some places - I really don't get why our gas is much cheaper than the national average.

Maybe the oil companies think politicians won't bitch if they think it's that low everywhere.

rofl $0.99 a litre is 'down to earth'.

I was bitching about the high cost of gas when it was $0.539. $0.99 . . .$0.89 outrageous!

How far we have come, eh?

Isn't that the truth. When I started driving gas hovered around .40 to .60 cents a liter. When It hit .90 I was disgusted. Now I would kill for some .90 cent gas.

Yeah, that's my theory too ;)

How is that fair? There shouldn't be such a difference in price across the country.

Gas in Victoria is currently $1.179, looking at some of the other places on this list is making me sick. And just think our carbon tax is going up again in less than a year and it is only 2 1/2 cents a litre now, + Transit tax + GST + Road improvement fee + etc.

I bought gas today at 103.4 per litre. It hasn't been that cheap in ages. I think the petrol companies are resisting putting the rates under 1$.

Funny thing is Zig, even with a shortage of diesel, I still see gravel trucks tailgating people doing 120.
