Like a National Geographic episode unfolding before their eyes, a group of awestruck friends watched as a cougar stalked, ambushed and devoured a bighorn sheep.

I saw the pictures of the cougar/bighorn takedown in the Sun today and the whole event looked totally bitchin'. Later on in the evening PBS had a thing on Yellowstone and showed a grizzly running down and killing an elk, which was also awesome to watch.

I saw a cougar crossing the highway about a hundred yards right in front of me out near Sundre last summer. No fear at all, not even with a speeding F350 rushing at it. That kitteh definitely had the whole cock-of-the-walk attitude thingy going for it.

That would be cool, but they're lucky the cougar was stalking the sheep and not them.

They were in a boat, I doubt the cat would swim out to attack them.

Besides, aren't cats supposed to hate water?
