Apparently the NDP would prefer Tommy Taliban and Johnny Jihad be allowed to make their pesky IEDs in privacy. Odd she didn't complain last Feb when she was in Afstan on a fact finding mission travelling around the country with a close personal protection team. When her ass was on the line she sat in on all the security briefings prior to going outside the wire. I guess it was ok to have humint then......

Like I said, I just wanted to get one witty remark in before someone else. It's not like I believe it or anything.

I know. Old joke. Writing the retort just isn't the same.

"There's never been a debate in Canada that I am aware of on running an intelligence company out of the Canadian Forces. I believe that should be something that is open to debate and security and civilian oversight," she added."

She fails. Civilian oversight of a military operation is just ASKING for something to leak or get totally fucked.

As usual it shows that one has to be a Defcon-1 level retard to be a member of the NDP. The Iraq bungle showed that the "shock-and-awe" tactic of blasting the bastards isn't particularly effective against those whose ideology has made them rather immune to both shock and awe. As such, irony of ironies, Sen. John Kerry was actually correct when he said that intelligence and policing should take up most of the activity in the anti-terror war. So here's Canadian soldiers being crtiticized, once again, by left-wingers for engaging the enemy with tactics that the left-wingers themselves promoted as a more humane and rational alternative to shock-and-awe. The usual hypocrisy running wild in the NDP ranks, as usual, but then again it's easy to criticize everything when one's lunatic out-to-lunch party has no hope at all of ever holding a majority in Parliament.

Left-wingers: they're really not anti-war, they just want our side to lose.

Hmmm nothing needs to be public. Do you think the CIA goes public. I don't care who they have to report to in the government but this stuff is probably vital intelligence and doesn't need to get leaked to the media. Like people captured in Pakistan and the laptops taken that contain info and some dimwit at the NYTimes lets the world know about it. So now the information is useless and the great intelligence we garnered is now irrelevant because the enemy now knows to turn off the cell phone they just bought or the laptops they have with satellite wireless are now compromised. The media seems determined to help us lose this war and we all know what I think of the media don't we. The NDP hmmm....what hasn't been said about them. Nuff said.

Civilian oversight and the media is what helped the US lose the Vietnam conflict. Let's not have a repeat performance with the CF.
