The severed foot that washed up on a Kirkland Island beach Thursday almost certainly belonged to a woman, says the man who found the remains.

Canada has a new serial killer, or what.

3 right feet belonging to men, and 1 right foot belonging to a women.

    What a sick fuck..

There's nothing to indicate these are victims of foul play. Sure, it might turn out that way, but they could just as easily be victims of a plane crash.

...who just all happen to have lost their right foot.

    So any planes missing?

Please Lily, 4 right feet in what? A few weeks? The last crash anywhere on the west coast was the helicopter crash off of California. If there were perfectly cut off (as I've read on this site) then it doesn't seem to be like a random plane crash, especially since it seems to only want to spit out right feet.

Have either of you read any of the articles on this subject?

There was a plane crash a while ago. The plane has been found, the victims are still missing. The family of the brothers on board wonder if the feet belong to these people.

The feet have NOT been severed, rather they've naturally disarticulated.

The 4 feet have turned up not in a few weeks, but a little under a year. The first 2 were found in Aug/07 the 3sr in Feb/08 and now this one.

Ahh, I apologize for mistaking the time. But yes I read up the plane crash in 2005 somehow releasing only right feet years after the crash itself seems...a bit of a stretch. Just right feet? Not a hand or a head or an arm or a leg? It seems to be something more than just coincidence.

There's also many other ways a body can get into the ocean besides a plane crash. Lots of ships, boats and swimmers etc. Also inland rivers that flow into the ocean can deposit bodies there as well. The fact that they're left or right is probably a total coincidence, but what isn't surprising is that it's only the feet washing up on shore. The shoes being buoyant and covering most of the flesh would make it the most likely body part to be found close to being intact. Plenty of ship wrecks prove this theory especially if they're leather shoes.

Personally I'd vote for the foul play scenario, since crabs and other ocean scavengers don't differentiate between right or left and it's too much of a coincidence to have 4, sneaker wearing, right feet found with no other body parts.

In the last couple of years there has been a large number of missing persons who have never been accounted for, so, hopefully these feet don't belong to them.

If were lucky, the DNA testing will solve the mystery and it'll just have been the biggest coincidence in BC history.
