Whata great addition to our heritage. For the ones who will win this by their selfless acts of bravery I say you are the real heros of this world. Bravo Zulu to you all, past or future members of the victoria cross. We owe you a debt of gratitude.

Call me a traditionalist or old fashion but, I would still prefer that Canadians be awarded the British Empires version of the Victoria Cross.

That's being said, I really like the design. and as long as they keep the same criteris for winning it, who knows, maybe it'll grow on me?

I'm all for this, Queen Viccy was quite in there as we got 'responsible government' and the VC's for Canadians over the years make stirring reading.

I like the latin take on 'For Valour', a totally Canadian slant that nobody should take offence on. Latin, the core of both our languages.
