OTTAWA - Senator Romeo Dallaire is defending controversial remarks he made about the Omar Khadr case, but says he never intended to equate the Canadian government with terrorists.

    Dallaire is right! Canada and US HAVE "flouted human rights". Just because a law is changed for the cnvenience of these two countries doesn't make it right..........

    I don't think we should be to hard on General Dallaire, after all he's suffering from PTSD and hoof in mouth disease............................like most of his collegues in the Liberal Party of Canada.

    What are you --- God? Or do you like having an excuse to use "bullshit" (sure sign of a truncated mind). Of course he should have been given citizenship, as should everyone. Afterall, we believe in the notion of innocent until proven guilty(at least some of us do - the ones who don't need to bulk up their content with expletives)

    On Tuesday, the ex-general sparked outrage in some quarters by suggesting Canada and the United States have sunk to the moral equivalent of terrorists in their handling of the young Canadian held at Guantanamo Bay.

    There is another thread, Killing the future to remain in the past, dealing with an 11 yr. old who was used to carry a bomb. Islamic terrorists use women, children and the mentally retarded to do their murdering for them. Yet some domestic scum seem to justify their actions as legitimate defense of their nation.

    Dallaire's opinions on child soldiers should carry some weight I would think.
